Abstract
Kanendomycin is a new broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is a water-soluble basic, antibiotic, developed by a research group of Mei ji Seika Kaisha, Ltd. Authors treated 60 cases (male 42, female 18) of urinary infections in acute or chronic with 200mg or 400mg daily dose of intramuscular Kanendomycin for 5-10 days and report a clinical and bacteriological cure rate of 85%. We consider this drug to be one of the most effective antibiotics in the treatment of urinary infections because Kanendomycin has high effectiveness against various bacteria and various antibiotic resistant strains, and the excretion rate in urine of intramuscular Kanendomycin is high, and it has little toxic or side effect.
